Information we collect:

As part of its business activities, AIM Screening collects personal information on behalf of
our clients to assist our clients in their decision-making processes regarding the
suitability of a candidate or application.

To facilitate the background screening process, AIM Screening may conduct checks of a candidate’s credentials, residency, immigration status, criminal records, claims, judgements, directorships and other public records, verification of educational qualifications and professional memberships, as well as previous employment history. This may include seeking information from parties such as nominated referees, government agencies, educational bodies and regulatory agencies.

AIM will not use personal information concerning an individual for a purpose other than the primary purpose for which it was collected.

Safeguarding your information:

All personal information that is collected and stored by AIM Screening is protected by complex security technologies as well as detailed internal security measures. All databases are protected by secure network links, which are complimented by firewalls, hardware and software encryption, password protection and virus protection. All our staff are rigorously screened and subject to strict confidentiality undertakings.

Accessing your personal information:

Individuals have a right to ask AIM Screening to provide them with access to their personal information. We will assist individuals with all requests for information, except where this is contrary to legislative requirements.
